The city of Bottineau, North Dakota sits at the gateway to the scenic Turtle Mountain region along the Canadian border. Tourism and sporting activities are immensely popular, however the existing community recreation facilities are in poor shape or non-existent. A 97,600 square foot multi-purpose community center will serve as gathering space and revenue generator.
Two regulation sized ice rinks, a large multi-purpose room, walking track, open commons, and room for a fitness provider to lease tenant space are all under one roof. All levels of Bottineau hockey and figure skaters will call the rinks home, from mites to high school games. In addition to serving the local student athletes, the Community Center will be able to host large youth hockey tournaments and generate considerable revenue. The multi-purpose room will serve as a gathering space for meetings, activities, dances, ceremonies, and fundraisers. The local parks offices will also be located in the building.
