Sacred Heart University Ice Arena Fairfield, Connecticut

Project Description

The new Sacred Heart University Ice Complex will feature both a new 3,600 seat ice arena, located on the former GE World Headquarters acquired by Sacred Heart in 2015. The arena will connect back and link the four buildings through a highly branded connector and collector adding a new front door to the complex.

The building’s floorplan is organized to create the perfect hockey and event environment – seating organized around the entire bowl allows for improved spectator sightlines and engages the fans to become part of the game, multiple seating types meet every fan’s expectations, concessions located at the corners reduce interference with concourse circulation, and lower level spaces made flexible and available to students and staff during the off-season.
